What to Expect
Prior to arrival
- It’s best to eat a healthy meal prior to your appointment. We do provide complementary beverages and light snacks that you can enjoy in the med lounge.
- You can continue with your regular medications as usual on the day of treatment. However, if you are prescribed any of the following medications, please inform us: Insulins or other diabetic medications, blood thinners, oral steroids.
- Plan to arrive at the Med Lounge at least 10-15min prior to your appointment to fill out necessary paperwork and have your health assessment completed.
- Drink plenty of water prior to your appointment. This helps us locate the best IV site for your therapy.
Upon Arrival
- You will be greeted by one our friendly staff members who will check you in (if you have pre-booked) and provide you with documents to complete your health history assessment (If this is your first visit or if this was not completed prior to arrival). If you are a returning client, you will provide updates. We do reserve the right to refuse treatment if you are not medically cleared by our Medical Director.
- One of our Infusion Nurses will then welcome you into our concierge room to take your vitals and discuss your health history and health concerns you have, your wellness goals, and together; decide on a therapy plan for your visit (hydration, energy boost, immune support, or specific health concerns). Depending upon the service choosen, your IV insertion or IM injection will be done next.
- For IV infusions, a small, thin needle will be inserted into a vein, usually in your arm. This may cause a brief, mild discomfort during insertion, but it's generally well-tolerated. Once inside the vein, the needle is ejected leaving only the plastic cannula (flexible tubing) inside the vein. Once in place, the vein is flushed with saline for line patency, then your nurse will secure it.
- Your Infusion Nurse will then take you into the Med Lounge or Wellness Room to wait while he/she prepare your therapy including your personalized bag of fluids, and necessary vitamins and minerals. Insuring everything is sterile and safe. At this time, you may choose to enjoy our Med Lounge amenities including:
- Beverage and Snack Bar
- Recliner Seats
- Warm Blankets
- Disposable Eye Covers
- Disposable Ear Buds
- Reading Menu
- Television
During Therapy
- A second verification will be done where the nurse will have you confirm your name, infusion choose, and nutrients added. Your infusion will then be started, allowing the vitamin-infused solution to flow directly into your bloodstream.
- Many clients use this time to sleep, relax, read, watch TV, or work on their devices. The infusion can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more, depending on the chosen therapy. Relax and unwind!
- Your Infusion Nurse will stay within the lounge to monitor you, answer any questions, and/or provide you with anything you need during your visit.
- Once the infusion is complete, the cannula will be removed. You may experience a slight pinch, but it's generally well-tolerated. A dressing will be applied to the site.
After Therapy
- You may be asked to remain in the treatment location for a short period to ensure you're feeling well. It's common to feel refreshed and rejuvenated after the treatment
- Mend Rx:

- Depending on your wellness plan, you may be advised on when to schedule your next infusion or follow-up assessment.
